Chicago chapter, national society daughters of the american revolution (nsdar or dar), was established on march 20, 1891, as the first chapter of our historic service organization. Dar is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving american history and securing america’s future through better education.
