Hello all, it's been a little while since i've been around the site but i need some advise My 2017 f350 6.7 has developed an oil drip This is my third 6.7 and i haven't had this happen on any of them I've got 65000 miles on this truck and do my own service on it, 7500 mile oil and filter.
Nothing major, but enough to raise some concern
I finally took a closer look under the truck and confirmed that there's a slow leak coming from somewhere—though i haven't disassembled anything yet to trace the exact source I have my guess on what the leak is, but wanted to see if anyone has seen anything like this or has an opinion of where the leak originates I took this picture before an oil change, then cleaned the engine to help diagnose the leak All the oil is back in the same place
My 2011 6.7 with 190k is leaking oil from somewhere but i can't determine where It covers the entire oil pan and seems to come up both sides of the block. It's a king ranch, high miles but low hours, and has been babied, in immaculate condition except for a helluva oil leak that i'm trying to track down I've got oil residue all over.
I don't notice much oil in the valley
This is a 2011 f250 with 116000. I took it in and it turns out to be the upper oil pan Looked on youtube to see what was involved in this operation and was surprised at how involved it is Glad it?s covered under warranty
My question is how common. My 2012 6.7 powerstroke just started leaking oil I've read this is a common issue, but i'm also not surprised since most older vehicles leak oil anyway It appears to be leaking from 1 or 2 of the injector seals on the driver side valve cover.
My 6.7 powerstroke has developed a small leak where the oil filter threads in at
The leak is very small and will run down to the bottom of the filter Only enough oil to cover the tip of your finger but i just changed the oil and new filter does the same thing
